Students create a "Stop the Bullying" Mural
For several years Prince of Peace has been in partnership with Walker's
Point Center for the Arts.  As a SO/HO partner (site on/hands on), POP
students have created drums, puppets, and murals in an after school
program sponsored by WPCA.  Last Spring artist Francisco Mora led a
group to create a "Stop the Bullying!" mural.  Four panels were designed &
painted by middle school students under Mora's direction.  Social Worker
M. Hanrahan and Art Teacher J. Berens helped supervise the projec
t.

Lynden Sculpture Garden and Museum Tour
The environment, and your imagination, plays an important role in
unearthing the history of sculpture. POP students learned about
sculpture inside and out—or better said, indoors and outdoors!

MAM's Junior Docent
School Program

The Junior Docent School Program
has introduced elementary school
students to the vocabulary,
elements, and history of art while
developing critical thinking skills.
Over three consecutive years,
students visit nine times,
contextualizing art into their life. After
a culminating project presented to
their peers and family, they become
official Junior Docents!
